Pre-season Irrigation Repairs

Waterboy (Marc) performed his 7th preseason checkup of the irrigation equipment. The purpose is to identify and replace worn or broken components early and have the system ready when the heat hits.

A lot of component wear happens each year which, if unrepaired, would result in less uniform water application, increased water use, and untimely breakdowns during your irrigation season.

This year fewer repairs than in the prior years. We replaced 21 heads. 9 risers, 1 valve, 2 ground leaks and a broken underground power line.  We also added rain/freeze sensors to 3 scheduling stations.  This will bring us from 57% to 95% complaint with this code requirement.  We have made consistent small upgrades to the system each year.
