45 Homes Lose Electric Power for 30 - 67 Hours

This winter ice storm hit the community hard. Power failures caused by fallen branches on the 1901, 1600, and 2001 block of Wilshire and two blown transformers at on Wilshire and Wilshire Ct. plunged 45 homes into darkness for 30 - 67 hours as temperatures stayed stayed below  Many owners left the community. One owner was hospitalized.  270,000 homes lost power in Dallas County, overall.

Neighbors checked on one another and stayed connected via the email and text network (owners without power).  Secial thanks to Kathleen Williams and Ginny Fisher who worked with Oncor and the City of Irving to get both information and expedite repairs.    Association landscape crews were on site on the 7th and 9th to cut down, clear, and stack broken tree limbs.  The City will pickup the piles on Friday.  Oncor had a crew clean up the backyard cuttings from their trimming efforts on the 11th.

The Association's Annual Meeting scheduled for December 5h was canceled and rescheduled for the December 12th.
