The sewer main has been repaired under the street near 1501 Brentwood. The repair was completed in three phases.
The initial problem was reported on January 1. A first attempt to clear the line was made by running an auger from the residential cleanout at 1501 Brentwood to cut roots. On the 4th, the sewer clogged again.
On January 24th, a clean out was installed to the main - this was accomplished in a dig in the front yard at 1501 Brentwood. The new cleanout provided access for a pipe camera that was deployed on February 3rd. The camera determined that part of the pipe was broken away under the street in the line from 1501 in a place just before it reached the main.
The street was opened on March 1 and the pipe repaired. Resurfacing of the street has not yet been scheduled but should be complete before planting weekend.
