2014 Election Results
This 2014 election had an outstanding 61% voter turnout with 100% of the votes being made on-line. Votes were tabulated by two independent counters: a long time resident of the community/past board member and a former community manager.
Assessments are $243.00 per quarter and $972.00 for the year. For anyone paying a full year before Febrary 15th, the rate is $922.00 ($972.00 - $50.00).
Chad Johnson and David Schneider were elected to the board.
All three capital repairs were approved, mailbox repairs (97%), exit renovation (93%), and entry repairs (90%).
The proposal for wheel chair ramps at the mailboxes was tied, 27 "for" and 27 "against. A coin was tossed, as specified in the C&R, and the initiative lost. Two board members, one "for the initiative", one against, and a witness were present for the coin toss.
In the opinion survey:
34 owners will attend the block party funded by a City of Irving Grant;
20 will attend both parties, nine will attended only May 3, and five will attend only October 6th;
12 owners volunteered to help with the block parties;
66% rated the lamp post replacement group purchase program as important, 4% said not needed (35% unsure or no opinion);
4 owners volunteered to help with a lamp post program;
62% rated the window group purchase program as important, 10% said not needed (28% unsure or no opinion);
5 owners volunteered to help with a windows program;
55% rated planting weekend group purchase program as important, 9% said not needed (36% unsure);
9 owners volunteered to help with planting weekend;
The covenant Amendment is still taking votes online, for anyone who has not voted. While general issues require a plurality of a 51% quorum, Amendments require the consent of 67% of owners.
