Irving water comes from Jim Chapman Lake (also known as Cooper Lake). The lake is 40% full - levels not seen since 2011. While it there has been much rain in Irving this summer, Jim Chapman Lake is 95 miles from here (Sulfur Springs) and the 479 mile catchment area above the dam hasn't seen the same rainfall.
Note: Foundations and new plantings may be watered by owners using a hand held hose, soaker hose, bucket, or drip irrigation system for up to two (2) hours on any day.
